Odds slashed on Boris Johnson becoming PM

| 12.09.2018

Our traders have cut Boris Johnson’s chances of becoming the next Prime Minister after a flurry of bets.

The former Foreign Secretary’s personal life has dominated front pages over the last few days, but it hasn’t stopped punters from backing him.

He’s now just 4/1 to replace Theresa May in 10 Downing Street. Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn is second in the betting at 6/1.

Johnson is also favourite to be the next Tory leader. He’s 3/1, well ahead of Sajid Javid at 6/1.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Johnson is indestructible as far as punters are concerned and his leadership odds are falling as quickly as his marriage.”
