One Ladbrokes punter from Dundee had a weekend to remember after turning £5 into over £84,000 from a seven-fold accumulator.
Our plucky bettor didn’t only need all 14 teams to score in his seven matches.
They also required Portsmouth, Colchester United, Newport County, Northampton Town, Solihull Moors, Dundee United and Elgin City all to win to land the cash.
It was a nervous wait for the speculative Scot, with only five of the seven selections coming in as the 3pm kick-offs approached full-time.
But as fourth officials across the country lit up the little red lights on their LED boards, our seven-fold star’s luck was in.
Andy Williams netted a 97th minute winner for Northampton, while Antoine Semenyo was on target for Newport in the 98th minute against Stevenage at Rodney Parade.
That ensured our mystery bettor scooped a grand total of £84,843.73 – who said the international break was boring?
