Champions League Tips: Will Man Utd, Real Madrid & Bayern get the job done?

It’s getting serious now. With just two Champions League gameweeks to go, every point could be crucial.

Manchester City have a chance to confirm top spot in Group F away to Lyon tonight. After losing to the French side at home, the Premier League champions will be well aware of their threat.

We’ve got a full preview of that one over here. But stick with us for a look at the best of tonight’s other fixtures…

Manchester United v Young Boys Bern

United couldn’t get going against Crystal Palace last weekend. But with the chance to seal qualification for the knockout stages, they should get the job done here.

Don’t expect a classic though. If Saturday was anything to go by, this could be a real slog. You can get United and Under 2.5 Goals for 27/10.

Jose Mourinho’s side haven’t scored before the interval in either of their previous two European home games this term. It’s 6/4 that the First Half finishes level, while Romelu Lukaku is 10/3 favourite to make the breakthrough.

Juventus v Valencia

Juventus would do United a favour with a 2/5 win over Valencia. That would ensure The Red Devils go through if they do their part and get three points too.

The Old Lady ran out 2-0 winners when these sides met in the opening gameweek. They managed to get the points despite Cristiano Ronaldo getting sent off in the opening half-hour.

The Portuguese superstar will hope to have a more positive impact this time around. He’s got 15 goals in 18 games against Los Che. We go 5/6 that he gets another this time around.

Roma v Real Madrid

Real Madrid beat Roma 3-0 in the reverse fixture, but both sides now sit level on nine points in Group G. A draw would take both teams through if CSKA Moscow don’t beat Viktoria Plzen.

After Madrid’s dire 3-0 defeat to Eibar at the weekend, Roma will fancy their chances against the holders. The Serie A side are 9/4 to win or 8/11 as a Double Chance shot.

The visitors may be out of sorts, but they’ll always pose a threat with so much attacking quality. Roma and Both Sides to Score is going for 4/1 .

Bayern Munich v Benfica

Bayern will seal first place in Group E if they beat Benfica and Ajax drop points against AEK Athens. But it’s hard to know what to expect from the Bavarian giants under Niko Kovac.

They blew a 2-0 lead to draw 3-3 against Fortuna Dusseldorf in their last outing. They’ve now only won one of their last six home games. But the visitors have lost two of their last three games on the road. The odds suggest Bayern won’t have too many issues here at 2/7.

While Kovac’s side have struggled lately, Robert Lewandowski has continued to fire in the goals. After opening the scoring between these sides in Portugal, he’s 21/10 to repeat the feat here.
