Wincanton, Aintree and Sandown the focus for Dan Skelton

Sam Red is our one runner at Wincanton in the 3.35. He won at Cheltenham last time in potentially fortuitous circumstances when the leader ran out on the run-in.
The trip will suit him and the jockey has won on him before, so I think he’s going to be competitive.
We then have eight running at Aintree.
I’ve really been looking forward to going chasing with Robin Waters since we’ve had him. He’s a lovely, big, chasing type of horse.
He runs in the 12.25 and it gives us a chance to start off around a nice track and I hope he can then progress throughout the season.
Redzor is next for us in the 1.00 and I’m looking forward to running him. He won a point to point in Ireland and is a nice chaser for the future but I think he can be competitive over hurdles. This is a good starting point.
Hear No Evil runs in the Pertemps Qualifier at 1.35. He ran well last year without setting the world alight.
He’s stepped up to handicap company now so he will have to step up. He won at Aintree last year so that’s a big positive. He’s another who will make a nice chaser in time.
High Secret runs in the 2.10. He’s not as good as some of these in here but if he can pick up some prize money then that would be great. He’s been good for us doing that job well already this season.
We then have two in the handicap chase at 2.40. Captain Chaos has been struggling but he did run well around this track on two occasions last year.
Hopefully Aintree can spark him into form. Some Invitation is our second runner and he goes well fresh. Two and a half miles will be perfect for him and he must have an each way chance at least.
It’s the first run for Yorkist in quite a while in the 3.20. He’s run well at this track before but I can see him improving for this first start.
Hopefully the handicapper can give him a bit of help as well as he’s not getting any younger.
Montego Grey runs in the bumper at 3.55. He’s a nice young horse by Montmartre. He’s just starting off his career. He’s been going nicely at home but now he needs to get on the track and start learning.
Sunday – Sandown
No Hassle Hoff runs at Sandown in the novice handicap chase at 1.15 with Darryl Jacob on board for his owners. He’s done well for us in the past over hurdles and now’s his chance to go chasing.
I’m excited about seeing him over fences. It’s only his first start and two and a half miles would be his bare minimum.
I have two in the novice hurdle at 1.50, No Getaway and West To The Bridge, that haven’t looked good enough yet so they need to improve a little bit. They should be able to win races down the line.
Destrier is a nice horse. He probably wants a step up in trip at some point. He gets the chance to run in a nice handicap here at 2.55 and we’ll see how he goes and where the season takes us with him.
