Chelsea’s Gary Cahill 7/4 for shock Arsenal move in January

More than a few players have moved between rivals Arsenal and Chelsea in recent times, and it seems Gary Cahill could be the next.

With Gunners boss Unai Emery desperately seeking defensive reinforcements, odds of a move for the Blues centre-back have been slashed from 6/1 into 7/4.

The club captain has found little game-time under Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge. He’s featured just seven times this season, and is yet to make a Premier League start.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Rob Holding’s injury leaves Arsenal short at the back and with Cahill struggling to impress at Stamford Bridge, we reckon he could soon be making the short move across London.”

This weekend sees Cahill’s current side face Brighton & Hove Albion, with Chelsea 4/9 for victory at the Amex Stadium. As for Arsenal, they’re also off to the South Coast – and are 10/11 to beat Southampton.
