Noel Fehily goes up against Altior on Special Tiara at Kempton

I am back at Kempton again today where I have some good rides to look forward to.

I start with a newcomer Olympic Odyssey (12.50) who was an okay horse on the Flat.

His schooling has been good at home. It will be interesting to see how he goes. He has been going nicely so I am hoping he will run a nice race.

Momella (1.55) was in the process of running a nice race in the Ladbrokes Long Distance Hurdle at Newbury until she fell. Being back in mares company will make it a bit easier for her.

I suppose she has plenty of weight but I would like to think she would have a big chance on evidence of her last run at Newbury where she looked set to run a big race.

Special Tiara (2.30) has won the Desert Orchid twice before but was a faller last year when the ground was very soft for him.

Better ground helps him but I think we are running for place money at best with Altior in the field.

To be fair the ground was always too soft for him last season but now he is 11–years-old and not getting any younger. It’s very hard to see him beating the likes of Altior unless something goes wrong with him.

So it’s going to be tough for him but he likes the track, he likes the ground and I am sure he will run respectably.

Just A Sting (3.05) has won his two starts this season and has been progressive. He will like the ground and is coming here for decent ground. He has been in good form and I would like to think he has a big chance.

Momella is probably my best chance of the day but Just A Sting is progressive and would have a good chance too.
