Presenting Percy cut to 3/1 for Cheltenham Gold Cup glory

The racing world is gearing up for the Cheltenham Festival in March, and it could be a golden experience for Presenting Percy.

Patrick Kelly’s charge has been pushed further ahead of the pack in the Cheltenham Gold Cup odds, dropping into 3/1 (from 4/1)

The eight-year-old eased to victory in the Galmoy Hurdle at Gowran Park, and punters have continued to get behind the in-form gelding.

In the Gold Cup betting, Native River is next-best at 5/1, with Kemboy (6/1) and Clan Des Obeaux (7/1) following in short order.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “Presenting Percy has cemented his position as Gold Cup favourite after winning the Galmoy today. Before the race we didn’t see any money for him for Cheltenham, but now that we know he’s fit and well, we are expecting support to increase.”
