Fulham v Man City tips: Long afternoon ahead for the Cottagers?

| 29.03.2019

The Premier League returns as Manchester City travel to Fulham in Saturday’s early kick-off.

City will go top of the table for at least 24 hours with a win. And they’ll be very confident.

This game sees the league’s highest scorers face its worst defence. Will this be a walkover for Pep Guardiola’s side or will Fulham spring a surprise?

Match Odds

City are huge 1/8 favourites, with Fulham way back in the distance at 20/1. Our traders have the draw at 8/1.

There’s 20/23 over a third City win to nil over the West Londoners this season, while Fulham are 11/2 to come away with a Double Chance result.

Talking Tactics

We all know how City are going to set up. But what will Scott Parker do? Will he want his side to sit back and hope for the best? Or does he try to disrupt the Manchester side’s rhythm?

City’s only fully fit centre-back is Aymeric Laporte, so Aleksandr Mitrovic could have some joy when Fulham get a chance to break.

Ryan Babel will look to expose Oleksandr Zinchecko at left-back too, but he can’t afford to leave his full-back too isolated against Raheem Sterling or Leroy Sane.

Goalscorer Odds

Sergio Aguero will be well rested after being left out of the Argentina squad. He’s 5/2 to open the scoring or 5/2 again to get two goals or more.

Aguero may be the league’s top scorer, but Sterling is the man in red-hot form. After bagging eight goals in his last five outings for club and country, he’s 3/1 to score first or 3/4 anytime.

Bernardo Silva has also grown into one of City’s most important players this term. We make the playmaker 5/2 to hit the back of the net.

Mitrovic is 16/5 to grab a goal for the hosts, with Babel 5/1 to score for the second league game running.
