Outside of the Group 1 action, Wednesday features a hat-trick of Group 2 races and some intriguing handicaps. Don’t worry though, we’ve got you covered with some Ascot tips to give you the inside track over your mates.

If you didn’t check out our Royal Ascot tips for Day 1 (you should be ashamed of yourself), then here’s some advice for each day of the festival – wear a hat!
Now, let’s get cracking with the proper Ascot tips.

2:30pm The Queen Mary Stakes

Group: 2

Age: 2 (fillies)

Prize: £110,000

Distance: 5 furlongs

Time: 2:30pm

Our Royal Ascot tip: Good Vibes (currently 7/1)

Trainer David Evans believes Good Vibes is the best he’s ever trained. And after she won impressively against a massive field at York a month ago, he might be right. Her finish in the final furlong showed her class, making her our Ascot tip for the first race of the day. Here’s an extra Ascot tip, 14 of the last 17 winners had won their last race.

3:05pm The Queen’s Vase

Group: 2

Age:  3

Prize: £225,000

Distance: 1 mile, 6 furlongs

Time:  3:05pm

Our Royal Ascot tip: Jamoud (currently 6/1)

This race is a great test for staying 3-year-olds and recent winners have gone on to success at the Gold Cup. Our Ascot tip is Jamoud, trained by Charlie Appleby the 3-year-old comes into the race with good form, winning at Newmarket and Longchamp. A bonus Royal Ascot tip, of the last 13 winners, 12 have come from a single figure stall.

3:40pm The Prince of Wales Stakes

Group: 1

Age:  4+

Prize: £750,000

Distance: 1 mile, 2 furlongs

Our Royal Ascot tip: Magical (currently 2/1)

The big race on day 2 of Ascot could be a battle between Magical and Sea of Class. Trained by Aidan O’Brien, Magical is unbeaten in 2019, winning her 3 races in Ireland earlier in the season. She has also won on this track, taking home the Group 1 British Champions Fillies & Mares on Champions Day.

Extra Ascot Tip: 16 of the last 17 winners were either 4 or 5 years-old (Magical is 4).

4:20pm The Duke of Cambridge Stakes

Group: 2

Age:  4+ (fillies and mares)

Prize: £175,000

Distance: 1 Mile

Our Royal Ascot tip: Rawdaa (currently 10/3)

This filly is tough and will relish the distance on fast ground. She recently pushed Lah Ti Dar all the way in York and with just 7 starts, she could improve even more. Trained by Sir Michael Stoute, Rawdaa has finished top 3 in every race she’s entered. Our extra Ascot tip is to find a horse with form over a mile. 14 out of 15 previous winners had won a race over a mile.

5:00pm The Royal Hunt Cup

Group: Heritage Handicap

Age:  3+

Prize: £175,000

Distance: 1 mile

Our Royal Ascot tip: Kynren (currently 12/1)

Despite being well beaten in last year’s race, Kynren has edged up the weight and the softer ground could suit him this time around. Veteran trainer David Barron’s handicapper has 2 great races this season, finishing second in the Victoria Cup over 7 furlongs last month and could settle an old score with rival Cape Byron, who he’s set to battle within this Heritage Handicap.

5:35pm The Windsor Castle Stakes

Group: Listed

Age:  2

Prize: £90,000

Distance: 5 furlongs

Our Royal Ascot tip: Nayibeth (currently 7/1)

Wesley Ward has form in this race with 2 of his horses, Strike The Tiger and Hootenanny winning while they were colts. This year he’s attempting to complete his hat-trick with filly Nayibeth. She won over 4-and-a-half furlongs at Keeneland in April and is set to compete again at Royal Ascot. One Ascot tip to keep an eye on; of the last 17 winners, 16 have had at least 1 run this year.
