The third day of the Royal Ascot festival is Ladies Day. No prizes for guessing why! Yep, it’s because there are ladies in attendance.

Group: 2
Age: 2
Prize: £100,000
Distance: 5 furlongs
Our Royal Ascot tip: Karak (currently 12/1)
Wesley Ward is looking to complete a hat-trick of winners at The Norfolk Stakes and Karak could be the horse to do it. Karak held off his stablemate No Nay Never on debut at Belmont Park, winning comfortably by 3 lengths and should do well again in his second race. Karak will eventually graduate to longer distances, but this short 5-furlong race should suit him down to the ground.
All of the last 16 winners have previously won over 5 furlongs, a good sign for our Royal Ascot tip.
This year’s favourite in the Norfolk Stakes is Sunday Sovereign. On its last time out, Sunday Sovereign won at Tipperary in a 5-furlong race, by an impressive 7 lengths. Most pundits are backing this P. Twomey-trained colt.

Distance: 1 mile 2 furlongs
Our Royal Ascot tip: Cape of Good Hope (currently 5/1)
Cape of Good Hope impressed during his 2-year-old season, running well at Newmarket and taking the Blue Ribband Trial over ten furlongs at Epsom. Trained by the master, Aidan O’Brien, Cape of Good Hope comes in with the best form and is our Ascot tip for the Hampton Court Stakes.

Prize: £200,000
Distance: 1 mile 4 furlongs
Our Royal Ascot tip: Queen Power (currently 2/1)
Last time out at Newbury, Queen Power shone over the 1 mile, 2 furlong course and should relish the longer distance at Royal Ascot. Trained by Sir Michael Stoute, she has track experience at Ascot and should enjoy the fast ground. Of the last 16 winners, 14 had at least 2 races that season, which bodes well for our Royal Ascot tip, as Queen Power has run twice this season.
Group: Heritage Handicap
Age: 3 (colts & geldings)
Prize: £120,000
Distance: 1 mile
Our Royal Ascot tip: Velorum (currently 10/1)
There is a big field for this Heritage Handicap, but Velorum has been in great form coming into Royal Ascot. Trained by Charlie Appleby, the 3-year-old ran well at Newmarket and Yarmouth earlier in the year and should be set for another good race.
One trend to keep an eye on, 14 of the last 16 winners had run less than 4 races that season, our Royal Ascot tip, Velorum has run twice this year.

Prize: £90,000Distance: 1 mile
Our Tip: Apparate (currently 16/1)
The fast ground should suit our Ascot tip, Apparate in this competitive handicap. Trained by Roger Varian, this 3-year-old impressed at Newmarket last month, holding off strong competition and is likely to improve with each race.
One trend that goes in our Royal Ascot tips favour, is that all of the last 16 winners have run at least twice in the season they won and Apparate has run at Haydock and Newmarket this year.
