NBA Treble: Blazers, Nets and Mavs all set to win

Published:

The race for the NBA post season is heating up and while Houston and Brooklyn have already secured their places there is plenty of action taking place tonight that holds meaning.

Portland will maintain their push for the post season with a rare win over the already-out-of-it Lakers, while Dallas can improve their chances with a home victory over Golden State.

Add in a win for the Nets and you’ve got a tasty looking treble returning £32 from a stake of just £10.

Portland Trail Blazers to beat LA Lakers @ 1/4

At this stage of the season a game against a side with no playoff hopes is a gift whether it’s home or away.

As such, Portland (48-27) will be supremely confident of victory over the Lakers (25-48) despite a dismal record at the Staples Center in recent years.

The Blazers have lost six of their last seven as the Lakers’ guests and seven of their last 10 on the road overall.

However, with LA losing 16 of 23 at home and looking to put a forgettable, injury-hit campaign behind them, Portland are expected to continue their current three-game win streak at the expense of Mike D’Antoni’s men.

Brooklyn Nets to beat Houston Rockets @ 20/31

That Brooklyn (39-33) are odds-on to beat the Rockets (49-23) having lost 14 straight to the Texans shows how well Jason Kidds’ men have played since the turn of the year.

The Nets are 29-12 and averaging 111 points per game since January 1st and go into this game looking to set a new franchise record of 14 straight home wins.

The Rockets are 12-6 from their last 18 road trips, while the Nets are 5-0 from five at the Barclays Center.

With playoff berths already assured for both sides the record will prove motivation enough for the hosts.

Dallas Mavericks to beat Golden State Warriors at 5/9

Both sides are still vying for the post season but home advantage should see Dallas (44-30) to victory over the travelling Warriors (45-28).

Golden State have travelled well of late, winning 15 of their last 21 on the road but Mark Jackson’s men have struggled in Texas in the past.

The Mavericks have won six of the last seven meetings as hosts and with six wins from their last nine at the American Airlines Center can be relied upon to oblige here.
