Our punters are backing Michael van Gerwen to win this year’s Premier League Darts.
MVG is the most popular pick to go all the way in the Premier League with 22% of all bets being in favour of the Dutchman.
With current world champion Gerwyn Price having been replaced by James Wade, Rob Cross is the surprise second most-popular pick with 15% of customers’ backing Voltage, ahead of Wade (14%).
And it’s bad news for Glen Durrant, who despite winning last year’s Premier League title has the backing of just 2% of punters this time out.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Gerwyn Price’s exit means MVG is the man to beat in this year’s Premier League, and that’s exactly what punters think too, while last year’s champion Glen Durrant is way down in the popularity charts.”
