World Matchplay Day 7 Betting Tips: Durrant and Lewis to win through?
Michael van Gerwen’s exit earlier in the week has left the door wide-open for tonight’s four World Matchplay quarter-finalists, all of whom will have their eyes on a spot in the semi-finals.
Adrian Lewis takes on Dimitri Van den Bergh in the night’s opening match before Glen Durrant faces Vincent van der Voort as they all bid to join Gary Anderson and Michael Smith in the last-four.

Adrian Lewis (4/5) v (Evens) Dimitri Van den Bergh
Whether it be in the World Championship or the World Matchplay, Dancing Dimitri has never won a match that is the equivalent of tonight’s best-of-31 legs format.
The enigmatic Belgian was downed 9-16 at the quarter-final stage in Blackpool in 2018 and suffered a 3-5 reverse to Nathan Aspinall at the same stage in the worlds in 2019.
Could that lack of experience over the longer distance prove a problem against Adrian Lewis? Jackpot knows what it takes to win at this level, which could prove an advantage tonight.
On top of that, the Englishman is averaging a more consistent 98 through the tournament and has a better checkout percentage across the two ties so far.
We make him the narrow 4/5 favourite to make it through to a sixth Matchplay semi-final, with 13/10 available about his experience telling out to win with a -2.5 Leg Handicap.
Van den Bergh won’t go down without a fight, though, and after taking out 138 and 156 against Joe Cullen and Nathan Aspinall, we have him at 5/6 to record a Highest Checkout of 123.5+.
Glen Durrant (3/10) v (5/2) Vincent van der Voort
Glen Durrant will never get a better chance to win a PDC major. The three-time BDO world champion started the week as a 25/1 shot but is now the 11/4 third-favourite to collect the prestigious Phil Taylor Trophy.
He’s been impressive all week and heads into this with a checkout rate over 40%, an average north of 100 and two decent scalps in the form of Jeffrey de Zwaan and world champion Peter Wright.
Opponent Vincent van der Voort has been no slouch either, but like Van den Bergh in the opening match of the night, it may be difficult for the Dutchman to sustain his game over the longer format.
Durrant will bowl along with a solid if unspectacular performance, and that could be enough for him to make a second successive semi-final appearance in the Matchplay at 3/10.
And if the Teesider can get ahead of the Dutch Destroyer earlier on, then it could become something of a slog for VVDV. Duzza is 21/20 to prevail on the -4.5 Leg Handicap.
One area where Van der Voort should have the upper hand is the treble bed. He leads Durrant 12-10 on tournament maximums and is 21/20 to hit the Most 180s this evening.
