It’s crunch time in the Champions League. Manchester City take on Lyon for a place in the semi-final in Lisbon as Guardiola aims to move a step closer to European glory.

Both sides will be full of confidence with City beating thirteen-time winners Real Madrid and Lyon stunning Juventus in the Round of 16.

However, under the revised tournament format, this is a Champions League one-legged knockout with a place in the last four up for grabs with both clubs bidding to create history.

The pressure is on City to deliver, but Guardiola knows the threat Rudi Garcia’s men carry should not be underestimated despite the French side finishing seventh in Ligue 1 this season.

Which way will it go? The match kicks off at 20:00pm on BT Sport at the Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon and we’ve got all the latest odds and pre-match trimmings right here….

Match Odds

There is no doubt that Manchester City are the favourites to reach only their second ever Champions League semi-final and they start the match as 1/4 to win and 1/10 to qualify.

Meanwhile, Lyon will be quite happy to play underdog for this one at 10/1, with odds of 11/2 to reach the last four. A draw is priced at 9/2 with the French side 10/1 to win in extra-time.

Both sides met in last season’s group stage and it was Lyon who come out on top in Manchester with a 2-1 win, before drawing the return fixture in France two goals apiece.

Manchester City are 3/4 to win with over 2.5 match goals. Lyon are 18/1 for the same market with both teams to score Evens.

Could we have the drama of penalty kicks to decide this quarter-final? Cityzens are 16/1 to win from the spot. Lyon are 18/1 to win by penalty shootout.

Talking tactics

This is the one trophy that Manchester City are so desperate to win. After falling short in the Premier League and exiting the FA Cup at the semi-finals, Guardiola knows that there is even more weight on his shoulders to deliver the Champions League.

Les Gones dominated the midfield battle when both sides met last season, but City look likely to stick with the same midfield trio which performed so efficiently against Real Madrid in the last round.

Ilkay Gundogan, Rodrigo and Kevin De Bruyne are likely to retain their places with David Silva pushing for a recall in a familiar 4-3-3 formation.

There are no fresh injury concerns for City. Sergio Aguero remains sidelined, but Gabriel Jesus will continue to lead the line after impressing in his absence.

For Lyon, Moussa Dembele missed the second leg against Juventus but is expected to return in Lisbon.

There will also be a couple of familiar faces in Lisbon. Ex-Manchester United attacker Memphis Depay aiming to deliver a knockout blow to his former city rivals. Former City defender Jason Denayer is also expected to start in a back three for the French side.

Goalscorer Odds

Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus has been involved more goals than any other City player with six and three assists. Jesus is 23/20 to score anytime at Estadio Jose Alvalade.

Raheem Sterling scored the opening goal against Real Madrid last time out. The winger is 16/5 to score first and Evens to score anytime.

For Lyon, Depay has scored in each of his last six Champions League games. The Dutchman is 7/2 to score anytime and 11/1 to break the deadlock. Moussa Dembele is 10/3 to score anytime on his return.
