Championship accumulator: Wolves, Derby and Ipswich all tipped

Published:

This weekend throws up another batch of Championship fixtures that at first glance look a tough nut to crack.

On closer inspection, however, we’ve found a pretty solid-looking treble paying out at just over 8/1.

Read on to see why Wolves, Derby and Ipswich deserve to be backed this weekend.

Wolves to beat Bolton @ 13/8

Bolton are an improved outfit since the arrival of Neil Lennon but they are still short of form, winning just one of their last four Championship games.

Wolves, on the other hand, are unbeaten in seven, winning five of those games, and enjoyed a 1-0 victory over the Trotters in September last year.

Derby to beat Cardiff @ 23/20

They may be the away side but an odds-against price for a team second in the league only on goal difference is not to be sniffed at.

Derby have won four of their last five games and while their last three meetings with the Bluebirds have all ended in draws the fact remains that the Welsh side are in woeful form.

Russell Slade’s side have won just once in eight attempts, losing three of their last four, and look doomed to defeat once again here.

Ipswich to beat Wigan @ 8/11

Ipswich ended a four-game losing streak against Wigan last time the sides met and the stats suggest another three points for the Tractor Boys this weekend.

Mick McCarthy’s side have lost just two of their last 14 games, and have been victorious in five of their last six at Portman Road.

The Latics form is almost the polar opposite, with Malky Mackay’s sorry side wining once in 13 attempts and losing five of their last six on the road.
