Chelsea’s odds to win the Premier League cut to 8/1

Published:

After a comfortable 3-1 win over Brighton and Hove Albion on Monday night, Chelsea have been cut from 9/1 to 8/1 to win this year’s Premier League title.

Goals from Jorginho, Reece James and Kurt Zouma led the Blues past the Seagulls on the South Coast to seal their opening three points of the season.

Elsewhere, an impressive away win against Fulham at Craven Cottage has seen Arsenal’s odds slashed from 33/1 to 22/1 to win their first title since 2004.

Manchester City remain the odds-on 4/5 favourites, while Liverpool are 2/1 to retain their title after a narrow 4-3 win over Leeds United on the opening day.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said:” Plenty have backed Chelsea for a successful campaign and after a convincing victory away at Brighton last night, we’ve already cut their outright odds accordingly.”
