Sevilla v Inter betting tips: Who wins the Europa League final?

Published:

We could be in for a vintage Europa League final as Sevilla take on Inter Milan in Cologne.

Sevilla are renowned kingpins in this tournament, winning it five times since 2006, while Inter are three-time champs, completing the hat-trick in the 1990s.

Both sides have already qualified for the Champions League after Inter finished second in Serie A, and Sevilla fourth in La Liga, rendering the Europa’s extra qualification spot null and void.

But who will prevail in Germany? Kick-off is at 20:00 (UK Time) on BT Sport 1 from the RheinEnergieStadion and here’s our Sevilla v Inter betting tips

MATCH ODDS

Despite Sevilla’s Europa League pedigree, our traders make Antonio Conte’s Inter favourites, with the Italian side 23/20 to win the match and 4/7 to lift the trophy.

That leaves Julen Lopetegui’s Spaniards, who are unbeaten in their last 20 matches, at 5/2 to win the match, and 5/4 to lift the trophy.

Two of Sevilla’s five Europa success have come via a penalty shootout, and there’s 11/1 apiece about either side prevailing via spot-kicks.

Having both already qualified for next season’s Champions League, neither side should feel any undue pressure on the big stage, and there’s 3/4 about both teams to score, with over 2.5 goals at Evens.

TALKING TACTICS

Sevilla have no new injury concerns, so Lopetegui should continue with his 4-3-3 formation, with Suso, Lucas Ocampos and Youssef En-Nesyri up front.

Ever Banega is likely to start his final game for Sevilla in a midfield trio, alongside Fernando and Joan Jordan.

For Inter, Alexis Sanchez is still struggling for full fitness and may be limited to a brief cameo.

But Conte still has the in-form Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez to head-up an unchanged 3-5-2, with support coming from former Manchester United winger Ashley Young and Danilo D’Ambrosio on the flanks.

GOALSCORER ODDS

With four goals in Inter’s last three Europa games, Lukaku is favourite to score first at 7/2. The Belgian is 7/5 anytime, while he can be backed at 8/1 for a two or more.

There’s 9/2 about Martinez grabbing the opener, with Sevilla’s Ocampos 5/1 and En-Nesyri 11/2. Former Newcastle United forward Luuk de Jong came off the bench to score against Man United and is 13/5 anytime.
