France finalise their preparations for Euro 2020 by hosting out-of-form Bulgaria at Stade de France.

Didier Deschamps’ side are joint favourites with England at 9/2 to win the tournament and double up following World Cup glory in 2018.

Les Bleus are massive favourites at 1/12 to claim victory heading into their European Championship opener against Germany in Munich next week, so let’s look at some of the markets in our France v Bulgaria betting tips.

Match Odds

Packed with world-class talent in every position, it is easy to see why France are world champions and in a strong position to secure the Euros.

They have suffered only one blemish in their last 19 matches, losing at home to Finland in November, and usually start games well.

France have led at half-time in 12 of those 19 outings, with a repeat 2/5, while they have also gone into the interval ahead in their last three meetings with Bulgaria, with 1-0 at the break available at 15/8.

Deschamps’ team have won all three of those and have kept three clean sheets in a row against Kazakhstan, Bosnia and Wales.

Bulgaria are in poor form with no win in their last seven matches and 13 away from their homeland, failing to score in eight of those, and France are 4/11 to triumph to nil.

With the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Karim Benzema, Olivier Giroud and Antoine Griezmann to choose from in attack, France have no issues scoring and have netted in 17 of their last 19 games.

They have bagged two or more in 11 of those matches and, after beating Wales 3-0 last time out, are 4/9 to score more than 2.5 goals and secure victory.

Talking Tactics

As is the case with almost all warm-up matches before a major tournament, fringe players could get a run-out with managers keen to avoid last-minute injuries.

But, due to France’s world-class squad, plenty of fine players should be on show.

Kurt Zouma, Giroud and N’Golo Kante all missed the Wales win due to their Champions League final exertions with Chelsea and could be given some game-time.

Giroud is likely to start up front along with the likes of Kingsley Coman and Ousmane Dembele, who came off the bench to score against Wales, giving Mbappe, Benzema and Griezmann a breather ahead of the Germany showdown.

Kristiyan Malinov is set to miss out for Bulgaria after limping off just nine minutes into Saturday’s defeat in Russia.

Goalscorer Odds

Giroud is France’s second top goalscorer with 44, seven behind Thierry Henry, and can be backed at 14/5 to break the deadlock as well as 7/2 to net two or more.

Dembele added the third against Wales six minutes after coming on and could be handed a start, with the Barcelona forward 9/2 to score first.

If not rested, Benzema is 4/6 to register his first goal for France since his exile, after missing a penalty versus Wales, Griezmann is 5/6 to bag his third in as many matches for his country, with Mbappe 3/5 for another.
