Much like the Arsenal-to-Manchester City conveyor belt in recent times, Borussia Dortmund have grown accustom to losing stars to Bayern Munich, but at least it now seems Marco Reus will not be joining the list.
According to German newspaper Bild, Bayern have ruled out a move for the 25-year-old winger who has been the subject of intense speculation over his future.
Whether or not this turns out to be mind games from the Bavarian club, the Premier League’s elite will be only too aware of the clause which can be activated at the end of the season.
Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United are all great admirers of the attacking midfielder and they could snap him up for a bargain.
Reus’ current Dortmund deal reportedly has an exit clause set at only €25m or £18.7m, an absolute snip for the calibre of player on offer.
Real Madrid will certainly have something to say on the matter, though, as Los Blancos are known to be monitoring the situation and will relish these latest developments.
Unfortunately for Reus and hometown club Dortmund, the German international has been out of action since November having sustained an ankle injury.
