Norwich v Brighton betting tips and odds

Norwich will be bidding to build on their maiden Premier League point of the season as we look at some Norwich v Brighton betting tips.

After six successive defeats, the Canaries picked up their first point – and clean sheet – before the international break following a 0-0 draw at Burnley but remain bottom.

Brighton were also involved in a goalless draw, against Arsenal, which left them sixth and two points behind leaders Chelsea.

Match Odds

Norwich, 2/7 in the Premier League relegation odds, are 13/5 to register their first victory of the campaign.

It would also end a 17-game winless streak in the top flight having suffered 10 successive defeats on their way to relegation two seasons ago.

Another draw is available at 9/4 although that has happened just once in their last 14 meetings.

The previous five encounters have seen at least one team fail to score and that is priced at 10/11 in the Norwich v Brighton betting tips.

Brighton have posted four wins from seven games and we go 21/20 for them to leave Norfolk with all three points.

With fixtures against Liverpool and Manchester City coming next, the Seagulls will view this trip as an opportunity to boost their points total.

The Seagulls, 9/2 in the Premier League top-six odds, won both meetings two seasons ago without conceding and another win to nil is 5/2.

Talking Tactics

Farke has reverted to a 5-3-2 system for the last two games. Having shipped 14 goals in the first five fixtures, the Canaries looked more solid in the 2-0 defeat at Everton.

They then posted their first clean sheet of the season in the goalless draw at Burnley and are 11/4 to keep Brighton at bay.

Brighton have played several formations this season but opted for a 3-5-2 against the Gunners.

Captain Lewis Dunk, Shane Duffy, Neal Maupay and Leandro Trossard have started all seven matches so far.

Goalscorer Odds

Teemu Pukki has scored both of Norwich’s goals this season – one from the penalty spot – and is his side’s favourite to get on the scoresheet again.

Having surpassed Jari Litmanen as Finland’s all-time leading goalscorer during the international break, Pukki is 9/2 to open the scoring and 15/8 to score at any time.

Maupay has started the season in good scoring form, netting four times in seven games, and is 9/5 to score once more and 4/1 to break the deadlock in the Norwich v Brighton betting tips.

Belgium international Trossard struck in both meetings two seasons ago, scoring first on each occasion, and is 11/2 to do so again and 23/10 to get on the scoresheet at any time.
