Arsenal have drifted from 9/4 to 9/1 to finish outside the Premier League top six for the first time since 1995.

After suffering back-to-back defeats since the Premier League’s return, our traders reckon Mikel Arteta’s men face an uphill task to leapfrog the likes of Wolves, Sheffield United and Tottenham Hostpur for a European spot.

The Gunners are now a staggering 11 points off the top four and 66/1 says they close that gap and break into the Champions League spots in the remaining eight games of their season.

Elsewhere, two games without a goal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has seen his odds of winning this year’s Golden Boot drift to 9/2, with Jamie Vardy now a 6/4 shot.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Things couldn’t have gone worse for Arsenal since the Premier League’s return. With Bernd Leno now out and Aubameyang firing blanks, they really have it all to do in the remaining eight games of the season.”
