Premier League Sunday Preview: Away wins for Man City and Arsenal

| 31.12.2017

This Sunday’s Premier League fixtures will have big implications at both ends of the table.

Title-topping Manchester City head to South London to face a Crystal Palace side hovering around the drop-zone.

Meanwhile, Alan Pardew leads his struggling West Bromwich Albion side into a home clash with top-four hopefuls Arsenal.

Here are our tips for Sunday’s pair of crackers…

Crystal Palace v Man City (12:00pm)

Pep Guardiola’s Citizens have been unstoppable in the Premier League so far. But while another three points look likely at Selhurst Park, the Eagles can give them a scare.

Palace have bagged 10 goals in their last five games, including two against Arsenal on Thursday night.

With City having struck in 25 successive league games, Both Teams to Score looks good at 4/5. However, with the high-scoring visitors in town, we prefer the look of Man City to Win and Over 3.5 Goals at 29/20.

The table-topping visitors have netted either side of the interval in four of their last five Prem fixtures.

Against a leaky Eagles backline, Man City to Score in Both Halves is appealing at 4/5.

Raheem Sterling is enjoying the form of his life, with four goals in his last three games. The England ace is 11/10 to score anytime.

And having closed out the scoring on nine occasions this term, the 7/2 for him to be Last Goalscorer looks tasty.

In the match betting, Palace are 10/1 for a shock win, with City 1/4 for victory and 19/4 on offer for the draw.

West Bromwich Albion v Arsenal

It’s been 130 days since the Baggies last won a game in any competition. And Alan Pardew’s goal-shy outfit are hardly likely to break that duck against the Gunners.

Arsenal have taken 18 points from their last nine league games, and netted three goals en route to victory at Selhurst Park.

With West Brom scoring just twice in their last six games, Arsenal to Win to Nil seems generous at 19/10.

The visitors have been especially prolific after the interval, chalking up a combined five second-half goals in their last two games. Up against lacklustre opposition, Second Half Handicap: Arsenal -1 is backable at 7/2.

Last time these sides met, the North London club outscored their opponents in both periods. Arsenal to Win Both Halves this Sunday is an 18/5 shot.

Chilean hitman Alexis Sanchez has his shooting boots on again, following three goals in two outings. He’s 11/8 to Score Anytime, and 6/1 to Score 2 or More Goals.
