Swansea City have already turned heads on Transfer Deadline Day by securing a loan move for Bayern Munich’s Renato Sanches.

However, it seems that boss Paul Clerment isn’t done yet, with the club even-money to snap up full-back Santiago Arias before the window closes.

The 25-year-old has been one of the star performers for PSV Eindhoven since joining the Dutch side in 2013, playing 141 times and helping the club to successive Eredivisie titles.

Having also starred in a World Cup and Copa America for national side Colombia, the cultured right-back certainly has plenty of pedigree. That makes the reported asking price of £2m look like an absolute steal in today’s market.

As for the Swans, now looks like the ideal time to snap up the right-back. Club stalwart Angel Rangel turns 35 in October, and is beginning to struggle with the pace of the Premier League.

With Arias now in the latter stages of his contract at PSV, he’s unlikely to ever be available at a better price. If it goes through, this could well prove to be one of the best pound-for-pound buys of the summer.
