Next Tottenham manager odds: Brendan Rodgers next in betting

Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou is now the odds-on favourite to replace Antonio Conte as Tottenham manager.

Arne Slot was originally viewed as the man to take the Spurs hot-seat for the start of next season but the Dutchman decided to extend his stay at Feyenoord.

Postecoglou is 1/4 in the Tottenham manager odds, with former Spain boss boss LUis Enrique next in the betting at 7/1.

We look at the latest odds to be in charge at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium by the start of next season.

Ange Postecoglou

Postecoglou has won the Scottish Premiership title in both of his seasons and can wrap up the Treble if Celtic beat Inverness Caledonian Thistle in Saturday’s FA Cup final.

Speculation is growing that the Australian could be heading for north London after two excellent seasons with the Hoops, although the former Socceroos boss constantly plays a straight bat to questions about his future.

He said: “I’m aware of it because everyone keeps asking me about it. It’s happened in the past, I have been pretty clear it’s just not the way I think and work.

“I’m not going to sit there and get distracted by things that are kind of fascinating for other people rather than myself. That’s where my focus is and where it will continue to be. We have had a fantastic season and we have an opportunity to make it a really special one.”

Next Tottenham manager odds: 1/4

Luis Enrique

A big name who has managed both Barcelona and Spain, Enrique’s philosophy of possession-based football would fit with a fanbase who had grown tired of Conte’s pragmatic style.

A willingness to give youth a chance would also tick a box for Enrique but his lack of experience in England may count against the 52-year-old.

Next Tottenham manager odds: 7/1

Brendan Rodgers

Rodgers was 10/1 at the time of our last look at the men in the running to fill the vacancy at Spurs, but with Slot no longer a candidate, the ex-Leicester boss is now the second favourite.

His four-year reign at the King Power Stadium ended in the first week of April when he parted ways with City by mutual consent 24 hours after a 2-1 defeat at Crystal Palace.

The former Liverpool boss helped the Foxes win the FA Cup for the first time in their history two years ago, but he left the club second from bottom in the Premier League table.

Next Tottenham manager odds: 8/1

Julian Nagelsmann

The former Bayern Munich manager is thought to be interested in the Tottenham vacancy but reportedly wants assurances over the sporting director role at the club.

Fabio Paratici stepped down from the position in April after receiving a worldwide football ban from FIFA for his involvement in financial irregularities during his time at Juventus.

Nagelsmann was the front-runner in the immediate aftermath of Conte’s departure, then Spurs reportedly went cold on the idea of his appointment but are now said to be warming to the idea.

The former RB Leipzig coach was a candidate to replace Jose Mourinho in 2021 before he decided to take the role at Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, who sacked him in March and replaced him with Tuchel.

Next Tottenham manager odds: 10/1

Graham Potter

Potter was sacked by Chelsea in April just seven months after he replaced Tuchel at Stamford Bridge, but could he make a return to London for the start of next season?

Potter developed a reputation as an innovative coach during spells with Ostersunds FK, Swansea and Brighton, but managing a bloated Blues squad proved a bridge too far and he was shown the door 24 hours after a 2-0 home defeat by Aston Villa.

Next Tottenham manager odds: 20/1

Best of the rest

Sporting’s Ruben Amorim reportedly held talks with Spurs last month despite signing a new contract with the Portuguese giants in November in a deal lasting until June 2026. The 38-year-old coach is 20/1 to join Spurs.

Wolves’ Julen Lopetegui, Brentford’s Thomas Frank and Bayer Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso are also priced at 20/1, while Brighton’s Roberto De Zerbi, recently described by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola as “one of the most influential managers in the last 20 years”, is 25/1.

Ryan Mason’s final game in interim charge ended with a 4-1 victory at Leeds and he is 25/1 to still be at the helm when the season resumes in August.
