Four last-gasp goals land 7,000/1 acca for plucky football punter

| 16.11.2020

While most Football fans clamour for the return of the Premier League, one plucky punter was loving every bit of the international game after landing a mega 7,000/1 Nations League acca.

That’s right, we can reveal that one optimistic customer struck a £1 bet on a whopping 15 teams all to win their respective matches over the weekend, with prices ranging from 3/10 to 8/5.

Three results were going against our mystery bettor in the last 10 minutes of Sunday night’s action, but four late goals ensured our punter was jumping for joy at the final whistle.

First, Austria overturned a 1-0 deficit against Northern Ireland courtesy of 81st and 87th minute strikes from Louis Schaub and Adrian Grbic respectively. Then, a 92nd-minute penalty from ex-Spurs man Christian Eriksen cancelled out a late Iceland equaliser to hand Denmark victory in Copenhagen.

And finally, an even later 94th minute winner from the spot in the Slovenia v Kosovo match ensured our plucky punter walked away with a staggering £7,007.44 from a £1 bet.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “This might have to go down of one of the best bets of the season with not one but FOUR last-gasp goals going out plucky punter’s way to turn some loose into a tidy £7k.”
