Dan Skelton has five runners on the final day at Cheltenham
It’s the last day of the Cheltenham Festival and today we start with Allmankind in the Triumph Hurdle (1.30).
He is one of the fancied horses in this and we are very happy with him at home. He‘s won a Grade One and at the track and we are full of confidence coming into this.
If one of the other two high in the betting can beat us then fair play. They are going to need to be good because we feel we are in as good of form as possible.
I don’t know how anyone can place one ahead of the other because they’ve never met and they all look really good. I am going into this thinking we have a fair chance.
Mohaayed runs in the County Hurdle (2.10) and we are very happy with him. The top weight runs which is ideal because it keeps our weight just above 11st.
He has won the race before and I think he saves his best for this track. I think he has a good each-way chance.
We run two in the Grand Annual (4.50). Marracudja went up a lot for running well in the Clarence House. It was a controversial 11lb rise that day. It’s a very high handicap mark he has to contend with and we will just have to see how we get on.
We are trying Two Taffs over 2m1f around a track where you have to stay well. I think it’s worth a go because he travels very well, he has been placed at the festival before, and I am very happy with him. He has the cheekpieces on and I’m sure he has an each-way chance.
Finally, Flash The Steel runs in the Martin Pipe (5.30). I have had this in mind for him since well before Christmas. I think the fast pace of the race will suit him.
Willie Marshall gets on well with him. You can’t not give him an each-way chance.
Let’s hope our Friday goes well!
