It will be a quiet first weekend of the new year for us and after the abandonment of Hereford we will only have a couple of runners at Sandown. At Sandown we run Robin Gold (12.40), who has been fantastic this year. Bridget gave her a great ride to win at Ascot. This is a Listed race and a step up in grade but I feel she is ready for it. Dan Skelton discusses his Sunday runners at Uttoxeter

We have three runners at Uttoxeter on Sunday. Aronius (12.18) hasn’t shown a great deal yet. He was quite a decent horse on the flat but he’s had his little problems. We are just really trying to find some form from him, but that hasn’t happened yet. Ashtown Lad (2.28) runs in the 3m handicap hurdle. He has won a novice hurdle and I think this is quite a competitive race for this step up in trip. ... more...
