There’smore International Horse Racing to look forward to this evening, with twoaction-packed cards across the pond from Will Rogers Downs and Fonner Park.

We’veenlisted the help of our man on the trading floor, Matt Trounce, to guide usthrough a key race from each meeting.

Fonner Park

It’s a cleanslate when Fonner Park resumes racing tonight, with April 29th originallypencilled in as the final day of Fonner’s regular season.

The 16meetings scheduled for May have come to Fonner due to the Nebraska RacingCommission deciding it was better to continue racing here, rather than switchracing in the state to Horsemen’s Park or Columbus.

The eight-racecard starts at 22:00 and is composed entirely of 4f sprints around one turn and6f sprints around two.

One of thestories of the spring meeting was the emergence of young Jockey Dakota Wood.During one meeting he won five consecutive races and he returns to the trackwith a strong book of eight rides.

His best chance of the night comes in the 22:27 where he reunites with Taylor’s Beauty. The pair teamed up to win over course and distance when last seen at the end of March and they hold outstanding claims again.

DakotaWood booked rides: BeholdDe Flame (22.00), Taylor’s Beauty (22.27), Tap A Miracle (22.54), Bulls EyeBetty (23.21), Jessica Glitters (23.48), Blessing Noted (00.15), Silis (00.42),Brett’s Boy (01.09)

WillRogers Downs

The featurerace this evening, however, comes from Will Rogers Down at 23.15.

Potomac is likely to be favourite after crossing coasts. Trained by Steve Asmussen from Oaklawn Park, he disappointed in his pair of runs at that track and his trainer will be hoping this change will spark some improvement.

Given connections he is bound to be popular and it is perhaps best to look elsewhere for a bet. March West is a lightly raced having only made three starts and only debuted towards the end of his three-year-olld season.

He shaped well when finishing third last time and can improve on that performance with a slightly more restrained ride.
