Odds slashed on Aidan Turner playing James Bond

Aidan Turner is now a 5/1 chance to replace Daniel Craig as the next James Bond following a flurry of bets.

The Poldark star has been a long-standing contender to play 007 and after significant support over the weekend his odds have crashed in from 10/1.

We now make him the fourth-most likely name to take the role behind James Norton at 2/1, Sam Heughan at 3/1 and Tom Hiddleston at 5/1.

Elsewhere, one punter must know something we don’t after placing a 4p bet on Big Narstie landing the gig at odds of 1000/1.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Aidan Turner has seen his odds tumble over the weekend and he’s now firmly among the frontrunners to play 007 next.”
