Withsport in the UK and Ireland at a near virtual standstill, our traders have dugout their atlases and cast their eyes over some of the action from around theworld.

They’ve hadtheir say on the racing from Dundalk too. But here we’re looking at Golf,AFL, NRL and Chess.

St GeorgeIllawarra Dragons v Penrith Panthers (NRL, 7:00)

Penrith willbe looking to build on last week’s win where they beat reigning premiers SydneyRoosters 20-14 at Panthers Stadium.

St Georgewill need to put in an improved performance after losing at home to WestsTigers in the opening round. Matt Dufty returns at full back for St Georgewhile Mikaele Ravalawa misses out.

ShireGolf Tournament (Golf, 8:00)

CallumShinkwin and Steven Brown head up a competitive field for the one-day shootoutfrom Hertfordshire.  

WesternBulldogs v Collingwood (AFL, 8:50)

WesternBulldogs aim to pick up where they left off in last year’s regular season asthey host Collingwood Magpies.

The Bulldogswon their last four games in a row to make the finals and will be looking tobuild on that this season behind closed doors in round one.

Collingwoodwill be looking to improve on last year where they lost in the preliminaryfinals to runners-up Greater Western Sydney in a low scoring game.

BrisbaneBroncos v South Sydney Rabbitohs (NRL, 9:00)

Both of thesesides started well last week. The Broncos beat the Cowboys, a form line thatlooks better following the Cowboys win vs the lacklustre Bulldogs to startround two, while the Souths beat Cronulla at the ANZ stadium.

Tevita Pangai Junior misses out for the Broncos but the teams are otherwise unchanged from the squads in round one. Latrell Mitch starts at fullback for Souths after a close season switch from premiers Sydney Roosters. He’s been boosted to 5/1 to score a try in the first-half.

CandidatesChess Tournament

We’ll haveanother four games from the Candidates Chess tournament to see who wins theright to play Magnus Carlson for the World Championship.

2018 winner Fabio Caruana has made a strong start again and will play Russian Ian Nepomniachtchi.

Nepomniachtchimade a strong start to the tournament winning with black v fellow RussiaAlexander Grischuk earlier in the week.
