Joe Wicks second-fav behind Fury for Sports Personality of the Year
Joe Wicks has gone from 25/1 to just 6/1 to win BBC Sports Personality of the Year, we can report.
The ‘Body Coach’ began last month as a rank outsider for the award, but significant support has seen his odds shorten dramatically to the point where he’s now considered the second-favourite.
He faces a tough fight to wrestle favouritism away from Tyson Fury, though, with the heavyweight world champion odds-on to scoop the gong at 8/11.
Liverpool ace Jordan Henderson completes the single-figure hopefuls at 8/1, ahead of Lewis Hamilton at 10s and Anthony Joshua at 16s.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Joe Wicks is closing the gap on Fury in the race for SPOTY and his odds of doing exactly that are now at record lows.”
