James Jordan calls for half marks in Strictly

Our very own Strictly ambassador James Jordan believes the scoring system should be overhauled on the hit BBC One show.

Following a three-way tie on the leaderboard between Jamie, Ranvir and Bill on 24 points apiece – which saw Jamie end up in the dance-off – the former Strictly professional told us ‘the judges should start using half marks to make sure it [leaderboard being tied] happens less. There is no way those three should have had the same score.’

Jordan was impressed with Maisie Smith’s efforts on Saturday, hailing the dance ‘epic’ and calling Gorka Marquez a ‘genius’ for ‘the best choreography I have ever seen for a quickstep on Strictly’.

However, he wasn’t as impressed with Craig’s catty comments towards Anton Du Beke which he thought was him ‘showing his true colours about how he treats the professionals’.

Bill Bailey remains the odds-on favourite for glory at 8/11 with the firm, followed by HRVY at 5/2 and Maisie at 6/1.
