£100,000 bet on All Blacks 2011 World Cup

A Ladbrokes punter has placed a huge £100,000 bet at even money on New Zealand winning the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

The firm have responded by trimming the All Blacks to 4/5 to win on home soil.

More immediately, England are the 2/5 favourites to beat the Springboks at Twickenham this weekend with New Zealand just 1/25 to account for a stuttering Welsh side.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “The All Blacks have a patchy World Cup record but somebody with a lot of cash clearly thinks they’re ready to come good next year.”
