Aberdeen in must-win Hamilton clash
Published:
Few people would have suspected that the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership would be as tight as it is now at the start of the season.
Celtic have won the last four leagues in a row by a margin of at least 15 points on each occasion.
However, Aberdeen have had a strong campaign that leaves them only four points behind the champions in the race for the title.
The Dons only have two games left before the top-six split, starting with Hamilton, and failing to get maximum points would put them in a tough position to overcome Celtic.
However, a win against the Accies, which is priced at 1/2, followed by victory over Hearts would mean that at the Bhoys would be at most seven points clear going into the final four games of the season.
Aberdeen would then get the chance to play Celtic and narrow the gap even further and be within a truly realistic chance of ending the Hoops’ league dominance.
First they must welcome the visit of Hamilton and cannot take their eye off of what is immediately in front of them, with the Accies earning a draw when the two last met.
Furthermore, when Martin Canning last took his side to Pittodrie, they were unlucky to lose and were only defeated by a margin of one goal.
Canning has got his team well organised and they have only conceded more than once in a game in one of their last four matches.
This should make things difficult for the Dons, but their 52 goals in 31 outings show they have no trouble in finding the net.
Therefore, punters looking to make some money on this clash would be wise to back Derek McInnes’ side to win by a single goal at 5/2.
