Aidan Turner’s James Bond odds SLASHED

Aidan Turner’s odds of replacing Daniel Craig as James Bond have been slashed in a potential 007 shake-up.

Our traders make the Poldark star just 8/1 in the betting, having been a 12/1 shot last week – which has seen him leapfrog Peaky Blinders’ lead Cillian Murphy and War & Peace actor Jack Lowden (both 10/1).

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “The race to replace Daniel Craig is well and truly on and while James Norton continues to head the betting, we have seen some interest in Aidan Turner over the last few days.”

Grantchester and McMafia’s Norton is ahead of the pack at 2/1, followed by Sam Heughan and Tom Hiddleston both at 5/1. Idris Elba is lined up at 6s to become the next Bond.

But with this latest twist in the tale, will Turner be suiting up for a stint in the Secret Service?
