Anton du Beke favourite to replace Len on Strictly judging panel
Published:
Anton du Beke could be heading into his final ever weekend on Strictly as a dancer, according to the latest odds.
While much of the attention this weekend will be on the fight for the Glitterball trophy, the pressing matter of finding a replacement for Len Goodman on the judges’ panel is still ongoing.
However, as far as punters are concerned there’s only one man for the job, and that’s the even money favourite Anton.
Karen Hardy (8/1) finds herself next in line should Anton carry on dancing, or it’s 10/1 apiece Ian Waite or Tom Chambers make a return to the show.
Danny Mac heads into Saturday’s showdown as the odds-on favourite at 5/6, however Louise Redknapp (6/4) is hot on his heels, leaving Ore Oduba (7/1) as the outsider.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Anton’s the housewives’ favourite, and if there’s anyone who could attempt to fill the void Len will leave, it’s him.”
She added: “Danny’s starting to feel the heat as the favourite and this could well be the most wide open final we’ve ever seen.”
