Chile vs Switzerland – teams announced

Published:

Both Chile and Switzerland managers make changes to winning teams for their match at the top of Group H, which kicks off at 3pm.

A Chile win is 6/5, Switzerland are 12/5 while the draw is 11/5.

Marcelo Bielsa and Ottmar Hitzfeld recall a star striker each with Humberto Suazo coming in for Chile and Alexander Frei up front for Switzerland.

Jorge Valdivia, who picked up a knock against Honduras, and Eren Derdiyok are the players to make way.

Suazo is 5/1 to score first while Frei is 8/1.

The other swap for the South Americans is Gonzalo Jara in place of Rodrigo Millar.

Hitzfeld welcomes back Valon Behrami who will start on the wing instead of Tranquillo Barnetta, while Steve Von Bergen continues in place of injured Philippe Senderos.

Alexis Sanchez was superb against Honduras and seems a good bet, at5/1, to open his World Cup account with the first goal here.

The Swiss put on a classic defensive display to deny Spain and another clean sheet for them is 9/4.

A Draw/Chile in the half-time/full-time market looks wise at 4/1, while under 1.5 goals is 6/4.

The teams in full:

Chile
Bravo (Captain), Ponce, Isla, Medel, Carmona, Vidal, Jara, Fernandez, Suazo, Sanchez, Beausejour

Switzerland
Benaglio, Lichtsteiner, Senderos, Grichting, Ziegler, Huggel, Barnetta, Inler (Captain), Fernandes, Nkufo, Derdiyok
