Fabregas can outgun team-mates to be top Arsenal scorer
When consulting the top club goalscorer markets, there are few clubs that better sample the diversity of the World Cup than the multinational, freescoring Arsenal squad.
The best value, however, is arguably with the man who is third on the list of contenders: Cesc Fabregas. He is tantalisingly priced at 7/1 to outscore is Gunners team-mates.
This looks like a particularly good price when you consider that Fabregas was Arsenal’s top scorer last season, with an exceptional 15 goals from midfield.
Fabregas is also in decent international scoring form, with two goals in his last four appearances for Spain.
With 18 goals for Holland, Van Persie is the Arsenal player who has the most international goals, while Bendtner has struck on 11 occasions for Denmark.
But as 4/1 World Cup favourites, Spain will be expected to go further than both Holland and Denmark, and this could mean more games and greater scoring opportunities for Fabregas.
Carlos Vela could be a dark horse at 8/1. Mexico are fancied to be one of the World Cup’s surprise successes, and the livewire winger could be a big player for the Group A side.
Having landed the prestigious number 10 shirt for Spain, however, it could be Fabregas who will have the Arsenal bragging rights in South Africa.
