Harry Redknapp is the punters’ choice to succeed Fabio Capello, according to Ladbrokes.

The Spurs boss has been backed into 7/4 favouritism, from 3/1, for the England hot seat. Previous market leader Roy Hodgson is available at 5/2.

Ladbrokes spokesman, Nick Weinberg, said: “Momentum is building behind Redknapp. He’s the only man punters are backing.”

Capello is now just even money, from 6/4, to leave before the start of Euro qualifying.

Bookies have cut the price (3/1 from 6/1) about FIFA introducing goal line technology ahead of 2014 World Cup qualifying, following Sepp Blatter’s decision to reopen the debate.
