North Korea vs Ivory Coast – teams announced

Published:

Ivory Coast have named an attacking side as they go for broke against North Korea. Kick-off is at 3pm.

Arthur Boka, Romaric, Kader Keita and Gervinho are recalled as Siaka Tiene, Aruna Dindane and Salomon Kalou are all dropped. Guy Demel is suspended.

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba captains the side, and he is 11/4 to score first.

Sven Goran Eriksson’s Ivorians need to overhaul Portugal’s huge advantage in goal difference, and an Ivory Coast 7-0 win is priced at 100/1.

North Korea only have their pride to salvage, having been torn apart 7-0 by Portugal in their last match.

Jong Tae Se is seen as their best hope of penetrating the Ivorian backline, and the Japanese-born striker is 8/1 to open the scoring.

The confirmed starting line-ups are:

North Korea:
Myong-Guk; Jong-Hyok, Jun-Il, Kwang-Chon, Chol-Jin; Nam-Chol, Yun-Nam, In-Guk, Yong-Hak; Yong-Jo (Captain), Tae Se

Ivory Coast: Barry; Demel, Kolo Toure, Zokora, Boka; Yaya Toure, Tiote, Romaric; Keita, Gervinho, Drogba (Captain)
