Serbia vs Ghana – teams announced
Published:Proverbial dark horses Serbia and Ghana have both named strong starting line-ups ahead of their Group D clash.
For Serbia Manchester United’s Nemanja Vididc, Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic and Birmingham City-bound Nikola Zigic all start.
Nikola Zigic will lead the line for Radi Antic’s side and the 6 foot 8 inch striker is 11/2 favourite to grab the first goal.
Champions League winner and Inter Milan play-maker Dejan Stankovic also begins the game.
For Ghana, Portsmouth’s Kevin-Prince Boateng will take the field for his first competitive game for the Black Stars.
Asamoah Gyan, so prolific for Ghana at the Afircan Cup of Nations, starts up front for Ghana. He is 7/1 to open the scoring.
Captain John Mensah will be the rock at the back for the Africans.
