Slovakia vs Paraguay – teams announced

| 20.06.2010

Roque Santa Cruz has been recalled by Paraguay for their Group F tie with Slovakia, which kicks off at 12.30pm.

The Manchester City forward has regained his fitness, and he is 6/1 to score first. He is joined in attack by Borussia Dortmund’s Lucas Barrios.

Slovakia have resisted making wholesale changes from their shock 1-1 draw with minnows New Zealand.

Striker Robert Vittek, who scored against New Zealand, is only two goals away from becoming Slovakia’s all-time leading scorer. He is 7/1 to open the scoring today.

Playmaker Marek Hamsik retains the captain’s armband for Slovakia, who are temptingly priced at 3/1 to record their first ever World Cup win against Paraguay.

The confirmed starting line-ups are:

Slovakia: Mucha; Pekarik, Skrtel, Durica, Salata; Weiss, Strba, Kozak, Hamsik (Captain); Sestak, Vittek

Paraguay: Villar (Captain); Da Silva, Alcaraz, Morel; Caceres, Bonet, Vera, Riveros, Valdez; Lucas, Santa Cruz
