South Korea primed for progress after breezing past Greece

South Korea began brightest and their early attacking intent was rewarded when Lee Jung-Soo volleyed in neatly at the back post to open the scoring.
Park Choo-Young had an excellent chance to double the lead, but the Monaco striker was foiled by Greek goalkeeper Alexandros Tzorvas.
This was only to delay the inevitable, however, as Manchester United’s Park Ji-Sung extended South Korea’s advantage with a fine solo goal.
Compact without the ball, and fluidly expansive with it, the 2002 semi-finalists look well set to progress beyond the first group stage.
Greece, in stark contrast, were laboured and seemingly incapable of mounting a serious attack.
Theofanis Gekas mustered a shot on target in the second half, but the Euro 2004 champions appear to be destined for first round elimination.
With Argentina clear 1/3 favourites to win Group B, both sides will be vying with Nigeria for the second qualification spot.
And, judging by their impressive dismissal of Greece, South Korea look likeliest to join Argentina in the round of 16.
