Daily doubles offer top value on Robinho and Suarez to strike

Published:

With two South American giants on show today, you can bet on Brazil’s Luis Fabiano and Uruguay’s Diego Forlan both to score at any time at 4/1.

Luis Fabiano has scored three goals so far, and he is a 7/2 contender to win the Golden Shoe. Also in contention at 20/1 to be the World Cup’s top scorer, Forlan’s predatory instincts make this double bet all the more enticing.

The best value, however, is arguably in betting on the first scorers in today’s quarter-finals, with Robinho and Luis Suarez a very tempting 40/1 to both open the scoring in their respective fixtures.

With three goals to his name, Suarez has struck the first goal in Uruguay’s last two matches, and he is 9/2 to repeat the trick against Ghana.

Suarez also features in a daily double with Holland’s Robin Van Persie, where both players to score at any time is available at a combined price of 6/1.

There is also a second special involving Robinho, where he and Kevin Prince Boateng are 16/1 to score in their respective last eight fixtures.

Boateng struck the first blow against the USA in Ghana’s second round win, and he is 14/1 to open the scoring against Uruguay.

Robinho’s form is another reason to back this particular double. He concluded Brazil’s 3-0 win over Chile with a delightfully clipped finish, and he is a good bet to strike against Holland today.

Fancy backing the outsiders? Kaka and Sulley Muntari are 175/1 to both score first. See the full Daily Doubles market.
