Euro transfer news – Real eye Maicon and Ozil in triple swoop

Published:

Real Madrid are reportedly ready make a triple swoop for World Cup stars Maicon, Sami Khedira and Mesut Ozil.

Real boss Jose Mourinho is preparing to bid €20m for Brazilian Maicon, who worked under the Portuguese manager at Inter Milan.

Priced at 4/1 to win the Champions League with Real this season, Mourinho is also keen to add German midfielders Khedira and Ozil to his squad at the Bernabeu.

Khedira is likely to cost around €15m from Stuttgart, while 7/1 Bundesliga contenders Werder Bremen will be reluctant to accept anything less than €20m for the dazzlingly creative Ozil.

Elsewhere in Europe, Fenerbahce have made a bid of €16m for Rennes striker Asamoah Gyan, and if the deal goes through, it could influence the transfer activity at both Liverpool and West Ham.

Should Ghana’s top scorer at the World Cup leave Rennes (25/1 to win Ligue 1), the club are said to be lining up a bid for Nice forward Loic Remy, who is a target for Liverpool and West Ham.

Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta, meanwhile, are rumoured to be courting Wigan’s Welsh international midfielder Jason Koumas.

Koumas, who is of Cypriot descent, has fallen out of favour at the DW Stadium, and the former Tranmere and Cardiff player does not seem to feature in Wigan’s plans.
