Diego Maradona now 33/1 to take over at Villa

| 16.08.2010

Diego Maradona has expressed his desire to manage Aston Villa, prompting Ladbrokes to offer 33/1 about the Argentinian heading to the Midlands.

However, Kevin MacDonald is still the fans’ favourite at 7/4.

David Williams of Ladbrokes said, “The prospect of Maradona negotiating Spaghetti Junction is terrifying for motorists but Villa fans must be more terrified.

“Fans clearly want caretaker manager Kevin MacDonald to stay. However, the fans may be betting with their hearts and not their heads as Bob Bradley is not far behind at 7/2.”

Villa are 15/8 to finish in the Premier League’s top six. See the full Barclays Premier League Betting Odds market.
