Bet on Ajax vs AC Milan – Ibrahimovich returns to Amsterdam

| 28.09.2010

Zlatan Ibrahimovich will return to the Amsterdam Arena on Tuesday night for the first competitive time in a AC Milan shirt and Ajax boss Martin Jol is worried.

“Ibrahimovic is the best striker in the world,” said Jol, but the Swede is yet to score against his former club in three games, two with Juventus and one with Inter.

Clarence Seedorf returns to the club that handed him a debut at 16 before supplying him with a Champions League winner’s medal in 1995, and the veteran will hope his current side can put one over his boyhood club – Milan are 8/5 to win.

Ajax lost 2-0 to Real Madrid in their opening game of the Champions League in Madrid, but Jol will welcome the return of Rasmus Lindgren and Eyong Enoh as they prepare to host Milan in an arena away teams struggle in – Ajax are 17/10 to emerge victorious.

Ajax lost both ties with Milan in the 2003/04 Champions League index by a 1-0 scoreline and the same scoreline to happen on Tuesday night is 5/1.

Auxerre vs Real Madrid

Auxerre have been given the tag of whipping boys in Group G but they will want to defy the critics when Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid side visit – they are 5/1 to win.

Real have only won two of their last nine visits to French sides and have kept just the two clean sheets in their last 16 games but face a side that have started the French League slowly and struggle to find the back of the net.

Whilst Jose Mourinho focuses on clean sheets, his attackers mustered an incredible 35 shots on goal in their game with Ajax and are 4/7 to win and 13/8 to win with a clean sheet.

Group G is tight but Madrid are 1/2 to top the group. See the full UEFA Champions League football betting odds market here.
