Spurs to outgun North London rivals?

Spurs are 11/10 with Ladbrokes to defeat neighbours Arsenal in 90 minutes in the third round of the Carling Cup on Tuesday, and 4/6 to qualify, the first time they have been favourites to beat their arch-rivals since their last League Cup meeting in 2008.

The Gunners are 7/4 to win in 90 minutes, and 11/10 to go through, with the draw 5/2. It’s 6/1 that the match goes to penalties.

In-form Peter Crouch is 9/2 joint favourite to score first, alongside Roman Pavlyuchenko, with Robbie Keane 5/1 and Carlos Vela 6/1.

David Williams of Ladbrokes said, “It’s a sign of how far Spurs have come that they’re clear favourites to beat the Gunners. They should have too much quality for Wenger’s kids.”
