Inter and Milan both out to keep title aspirations on track

Palermo did the double over AC Milan last season and the Rosseneri will hope that lightning does not strike twice as they look to retain their position in the Serie A title picture.

Milan are currently just two points adrift of table-toppers Lazio, but come into their clash with Palermo having lost their last home Serie A home game with Juventus.

They are 1/2 to beat Palermo and historically have proven to have the upper hand over Delio Rossi’s side.

Milan have won 19 of the previous 23 games between the pair at the San Siro and in Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alexander Pato, they have strikers who have scored ten times between them in Serie A this season.

Palermo have made a reasonable start to the campaign to sit in the top half of the table and are 5/1 to make it three straight victories over Milan.

Inter sit just point below their Milan rivals in the Serie A standings and they take their injury-ravaged squad to Lecce as they also look to keep their title hopes on track.

Rafa Benitez’ team dropped sloppy points at home to Brescia in their last fixture and they will be kene to avoid making a similar mistake at Lecce.

Inter have won 21 of their previous 26 Serie A meetings with Lecce and are 8/13 to take the three points again.

The chances of a Lecce victory are additionally not helped by the fact that they have failed to score in their last four meetings with Inter, while managing just seven goals in their opening ten games this season.

They have taken ten points from their opening four home games this season though.

Lecce are 4/1 to beat Inter and any victory is only likely to be by a 1-0 scoreline, which can be backed at 8/1.

Inter are the 5/4 favourites to win Serie A this season, with Milan slightly longer at 2/1. See the full Serie A winners betting odds market.
