Dunn targets ten-goal Blackburn season if his fitness allows

David Dunn has set his targets on repeating the ten goals he managed for Blackburn last season, but much will come down to whether he can maintain his fitness.

Dunn grabbed his first of the campaign in the recent win over Wolves and will be keen to quickly follow up when Blackburn travel to Bolton next.

Blackburn are 5/2 to beat Bolton, but it is still unclear whether Dunn will be fit to start as he had to be replaced just after half time in the Wolves clash because of a leg injury.

However, the 30-year-old is hoping to make his sixth start of an injury-depleted season and help Rovers claim their sixth victory of a decent campaign to date and move them into the top half of the Premier League standings.

Dunn told the official club website: “Unfortunately I am one of those players who is going to pick up little niggles.

“If I can play 20-25 games a season – of course I would like play 38 Premier League games – hopefully I can do something different in them. Hopefully there are a few more goals to come. I would like to get to [the ten-goal] target again.”

Despite Bolton’s fine start to the campaign, which has seen them lose just three of their opening 16 games and sit sixth in the table, they struggle to win at home to Blackburn.

Bolton have not won any of their last 11 home fixtures with Blackburn and have managed just two goals in the last six of these encounters.

It is 11/10 in the Premier League betting odds that Bolton take the three points against Blackburn, while the draw can be backed at 23/10.
